What a difference a week makes!

One week ago today Jerry had his accident. He has come through so much already and every day we see answered prayers that are nothing short of miracles. We are still standing on James 5:15 for his complete healing - look it up and you'll see what we mean. Today he had 1 of 2 chest tubes removed. (Hopefully tomorrow the other one will come out.) The nurses had him up in a sitting position for almost 4 hours today!! His voice has returned to the point that you can actually hear him when he speaks now. Still sounds a little rough - but yours would too!

PLEASE NO VISITORS in his room - come to the waiting room and check in with the family first. Sleep is one of the most important things he can get right now to help himself heal and unfortunately you don't get a lot of it in ICU. So the family wants to limit his visitors.

We covet your continued prayers - specifically for continued healing of his lungs, no infections and healing of his skull fractures. We, Jer's family, are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support by his friends, coworkers and employer. We will never be able to articulate how much you all mean to us and what a blessing it has been to witness the love you have for our son, brother and soon to be husband! Much love to all of you - the Gallimores

  1. Jerry (and family),

Great to hear things are going better. I'm looking forward to eatin' ribs and kicking back with a brew sometime in the not-too-distant-future. Wish I was there to be a "pesky visitor!"

Here's a pic I took of J & J in January this year. I call it "Tractor Folk." LOL

  2. I can't speak for everybody, but I believe Jerry's just getting back what he's been giving. He is an AWESOME human being. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Gallimore for giving us Jerry, and THANK YOU GOD for giving more time to let him know how special he is. :)

P.S. I'm sooooo looking forward to seeing the "running man" while rapping "Ice Ice Baby" again!

Love YA MUCH! Tom & Sam.

  4. Just had to post James 5:13-15. It says it all:

    The Prayer of Faith
13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
